Gloria Petyarre paints the leaves of the Mulga tree and other plants used for bush medicines. The paintings with large leaves use clever combinations of colour in each leaf to provide texture to the work. The small bush medicine leaves overlap to create the appearance of gentle movement of wind through the leaves. Gloria Petyarre also paints the body paint designs associated with and the tracks left by the mountain devil lizard.
