This painting depicts the seeds of the bush yam or bush tucker plant . One of the few male artists painting in Utopia, Greeny developed his unique colour scheme and technique surrounded by the strong female painters in his family including his wife Kathleen and his cousin, Gloria Petyarre. This painting is an example of his later work where the seeds make fine white lines around the edges of the bright segments representing the colours of the wild flowers that appear after the wet season.
