This painting is one of Greeny Purvis Petyarre's later work and he describes this distinctive. more linear style as being the root of the bush yam or bush tucker plants. He said that the colours he uses in this later works are to reflect the wild flowers after the rain. The white dots in between the line work represent the seeds.
