Lindsay Bird paints mainly the travels of the spirit ancestors of two important plants, ilkkatjera, a yellow flowering prickly vine, and atapila, a small plum. The large round shapes of concentric circles represent the rockhole site of Arimala (in Anmatyerre country) and the smaller round shapes are the water holes visited by ancestors as they travelled. He also paints mulga snake dreaming. He is a senior law man of his community and his paintings are usually formal in structure using the ochre, earthy colours found in the desert landscape.
