The Hawkesbury river by Greg Jarmaine.
Greg Jarmaine is a prize winning artist, who works in both oil and watercolour.
He has lived most of his life on the eastern seaboard of New South Wales, and much of his work reflects his affinity with the water. He has been painting professionally for over twenty years, and has been involved in numerous exhibitions. To date he has held nineteen one-man shows.
Greg Jarmaine lived and worked in the United Kingdom for one year in 1997 and distributed his paintings through galleries in London, Brighton, Milton Keynes, the Cotswolds and Killarney, Ireland. He still works through these galleries and in 2000 returned to the United Kingdom for a solo exhibition in Brighton. He is also shown in several galleries in the United States.
His paintings have been acquired for municipal and corporate collections consistently over the past twenty years. Four of Greg’s paintings have been produced as prints and his work recently appeared as the cover feature of Australian Arts Magazine.
His subject matter focuses on the Sydney cityscapes and the harbour. His love of this prominent feature of the Sydney landscape is evident in all his paintings.
He is represented by Gannon House Gallery, The Rocks, Sydney.
