  • Biography

    Born in 1944, Tilo Jurra Nangala is a Warlpiri speaker who lived at Yuendumu and painted for Warlukurlangu Artists from 1984. Her subjects include Ngapa (underground water) and Yankirri (Emu) Dreamings. Jurra was also one of 42 Yuendumu painters who worked on the 7 × 3m canvas which toured Europe with the 1993 Aratjara – Art of the First Australians exhibition.
